Brian Bradshaw is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He is the son of Spencer and Beverly Bradshaw and has an older brother, Tony. In 2004, Brian moved to Nashville to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication at Middle Tennessee State University graduating in 2008. Recognizing the call on his life and the importance of continuing the process of growth through education, Brian is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree at Lipscomb University.
After moving to Nashville in 2004 to attend MTSU, Brian met the former Tanesha Tharpe. They have been happily married since August of 2011. Tanesha is an educator and works as a Speech and Language teacher in the Nashville area. In January of 2014, they were blessed to receive into their family a beautiful baby girl, Tatum Michele Bradshaw. She has brought great joy to their lives.
Brian currently serves as the Overseer of the Mt. Zion College Ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was appointed Overseer of the College Ministry in the spring of 2013, but has been involved with the college ministry since 2004. Elder Bradshaw considers it a privilege to serve the college students at Mt. Zion. He seeks to empower and uplift hundreds of students who attend campus bible studies, mentoring opportunities, and educational workshops made available by the church. He is also active in preaching and teaching.
Brian is truly amazed of where God has brought him on his journey of faith. When he thinks back on his life, he sees the hand of God at work. He says,
“I never imagined being where I am today in ministry. My only goal was to do what God has called me to do on whatever level he saw fit. Every day, I wake up in awe of the trust God has placed in me to serve in this season.”
Elder Bradshaw recognizes and believes that the present generation of youth and young adults are the rising leaders of the world. He is committed and devoted to empowering students to discover, pursue and obtain their God-given purpose. He believes one of the greatest gifts that he can give is to provide an environment where students may excel in excellence spiritually, academically and in every area of their lives.
If you were to ask Brian what his vision for the College Ministry of Mt. Zion is he would tell you:
“My purpose is to provide a positive environment where students can develop and grow both academically and spiritually while preparing them for their future.”
Along with this vision, Brian has a passion to see every college student become mature in their faith so that they are prepared to enter into the world after graduation and exemplify Godly professionalism, integrity and character.
